Deposition problems

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1993
The paper discusses the problem of the surface structure of a powder solid created by ballistic deposition in the cases of: (i) uniform spheres; (ii) deposition with preferential growth at high points (KPZ); (iii) deposition via DLA. A result of particular interest is the direct evaluation of the correlation function index in case (ii).

Polymer assisted deposition

Chem. Commun., 2008
Polymer assisted deposition (PAD) is a chemical solution route to high quality thin films of metal oxides. This technique employs metal ions coordinated to polymers as the film precursor. The use of polymer bound metals has several advantages. The polymer controls the viscosity and binds metal ions, resulting in a homogeneous distribution of metal ...

Lacustrine Deposits

2018
Lakes are dynamic and complex systems, whose depositional processes and sedimentation are affected by climatic and tectonic events (Scott et al. 2012 and the references herein). In addition, the great physicochemical variability among lakes, in terms of origin, size, morphology, catchment size, and water biochemistry influence the nature and the rate ...

Deposit insurance and international bank deposits [PDF]

open access: possible, 2002
This paper examines how international depositors respond to national deposit insurance policies. Countries with explicit deposit insurance are found to be relatively attractive to international non-bank depositors. Deposit schemes characterized by co-insurance, a private administration, and a low deposit insurance premium appear to be particularly ...

[Gadolinium deposition-"gadolinium deposition disease"].

Der Radiologe, 2019
Gadolinium (Gd)-based contrast agents have been routinely used worldwide in diagnostic MRI since 1988. All routinely applied contrast agents for clinical use were considered extremely safe with regard to tolerance, adverse effects and diagnostic efficacy and when used at Food and Drug Administration-approved doses.
