Menopause, 2009The aim of this study was to investigate the role of vasomotor and mood symptoms on insomnia in postmenopausal women.One hundred sixty-three postmenopausal women, not receiving hormone therapy, attending a menopause clinic at the University of Athens, Greece, were included in this cross-sectional study.

Inositol addition does not improve depression in SSRI treatment failures
Journal of Neural Transmission, 1999Some antidepressants, such as Lithium, can augment the antidepressant effect of serotonin selective uptake inhibitors (SSRI) in patients who have failed to respond to SSRI. Inositol has demonstrated antidepressant effects but in a controlled double blind augmentation trial did not improve depression in SSRI treatment failures.
