Organic Neuromorphic Transistors with Crosslinked Poly(vinyl alcohol)‐Based Memory Layers Controlled by Thermal Annealing Process

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol) (X‐PVA) in the presence of acidic polymer catalyst (PAMPSA) is formed in solid‐state films by thermal annealing at 150 ℃ for 10 min, delivering the best hysteresis characteristics for efficient organic synaptic transistors (OSTRs) with a recognition accuracy of 96%.

Printability Metrics in Direct Ink Writing: Critical Review of the Literature and Novel Perspective Based on Dimensional Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The impossibility of defining universal printability criteria for Direct Ink Writing (DIW) requires “unpacking” the process into printing subfunctions. Each of these is rationalized by identifying dimensionless groups, allowing effective comparison between the various material‐ and process‐related parameters for printability purposes.

Zwitterionic Fluoropolymer‐Engineered Synaptic Clefts Enhance Ion Dynamics in Neuromorphic OECTs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Polyzwitterionic DPVDF (DPVDF‐SZ) ion gels enhance neuromorphic OECT performance due to their reduced crystallinity compared to conventional fluoropolymer (e.g., PVDF‐HFP). These ion gels enable high transconductance, stable ion diffusion, and synaptic plasticity, including long‐term memory. Reservoir computing validation highlights their potential for

Fiber Bragg Gratings with Micro‐Engineered Temperature Coefficients

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are intrinsically responsive to temperature and strain simultaneously. In this research, low‐loss FBGs with micro‐engineered temperature coefficients are fabricated, utilizing refractive index liquid‐filled microchannels in the cladding.
