Severity of Depressive Symptoms and Accuracy of Dietary Reporting among Obese Women with Major Depressive Disorder Seeking Weight Loss Treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
An elevation in symptoms of depression has previously been associated with greater accuracy of reported dietary intake, however this association has not been investigated among individuals with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder.

Effect of pharmacogenomics testing guiding on clinical outcomes in major depressive disorder: a systematic review and meta-analysis of RCT

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry, 2023
Background Pharmacogenomic testing guided treatment have been developed to guide drug selection or conversion in major depressive disorder patients. Whether patients benefit from pharmacogenetic testing remains unclear.

EEG based Major Depressive disorder and Bipolar disorder detection using Neural Networks: A review [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Mental disorders represent critical public health challenges as they are leading contributors to the global burden of disease and intensely influence social and financial welfare of individuals. The present comprehensive review concentrate on the two mental disorders: Major depressive Disorder (MDD) and Bipolar Disorder (BD) with noteworthy ...

Major depressive disorder is associated with broad impairments on neuropsychological measures of executive function: a meta-analysis and review.

open access: yesPsychological bulletin, 2013
Cognitive impairments are now widely acknowledged as an important aspect of major depressive disorder (MDD), and it has been proposed that executive function (EF) may be particularly impaired in patients with MDD.

The Viability of the Refractory High‐Entropy Alloy AlMo0.5NbTa0.5TiZr for High‐Temperature Structural Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Refractory high‐entropy alloys have attracted substantial attention for future ultrahigh‐temperature structural applications. Here the progression of key phase transformations in AlMo0.5NbTa0.5TiZr is established and correlated to the mechanical performance, highlighting the importance of the B2 phase.

Transfer entropy applied on EEG in depression reveals aberrated dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We applied transfer entropy analysis on samples of electroencephalogram recorded from patients diagnosed with major depressive disorder and matched healthy controls. This is the first graphical representation of aberrated dynamics in terms of connectivity and the direction of information between standard centers in MDD.

Multi-modal Depression Estimation based on Sub-attentional Fusion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Failure to timely diagnose and effectively treat depression leads to over 280 million people suffering from this psychological disorder worldwide. The information cues of depression can be harvested from diverse heterogeneous resources, e.g., audio, visual, and textual data, raising demand for new effective multi-modal fusion approaches for automatic ...

Tuning D‐Band Center of Vanadium in Constructing Lattice‐Matched Coherent Heterostructure for Enhanced Sodium Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The coherent heterostructure and the strong stress field at the heterointerface upshift the d‐band center of vanadium toward the Fermi level, which effectively lowers the Na+ diffusion barrier, facilitates charge transfer and accelerates reaction kinetics.
