Photodetachment of deprotonated aromatic amino acids: stability of the dehydrogenated radical depends on the deprotonation site [PDF]
When aromatic amino acids are deprotonated on the carbonyl, the radicals produced upon photodetachment dissociate without barrier, forming CO2 and a radical amine. When the functional group on the chromophore is deprotonated, the radicals are stable.

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems

Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.

Esterification, condensation, and deprotonation equilibria of trimethylsilanol [PDF]
We investigate by Si-29 NMR the equilibrium behavior of trimethylsilanol in both acidic and alkaline ethanol/water solutions. This system is of interest not only for passivation (silylation) of organic and inorganic hydroxide-containing compounds, but ...

Positively Charged Polymer‐Brush MOFs for Large‐Area, Pressure‐Resistant Gas Separation Membranes
A universal POPA strategy enables positively charged polymer‐brush MOFs with self‐adaptive interfacial interlocking to resist aggregation under fast processing. This design ensures seamless dispersion within large‐area selective layers, achieving 1 m‐wide roll‐to‐roll fabrication of pressure‐resistant MMCMs with tunable CO2 separation performance ...
