Trap‐Modified Inverted Organic Photodetectors via Layer‐by‐Layer Processing with Poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Trap state engineering in inverted organic photodetectors (OPDs) is achieved via combined layer‐by‐layer (LbL) processing and poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) (PVK) incorporation. LbL reduces the trap density while PVK additives gradually shift trap states from shallow band‐edge to deep mid‐gap levels, tailoring the energy distribution.

Interconnected Porous Hydrogels with Tunable Anisotropy Through Aqueous Emulsion Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D bioprintable microporous bioink is developed using an aqueous two‐phase system (ATPS) composed of extracellular matrix (ECM) mimetic biopolymers. The ATPS bioink enables the fabrication of interconnected porous architectures with up to 70% porosity, supporting long‐term cell viability and 3D cell alignment, enabling a simultaneous generation of ...

Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...

Short-term effects of deep ploughing on soil C stocks following renewal of a dairy pasture in New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In New Zealand’s high producing permanent pastures the topsoil constitutes a large reservoir of soil organic carbon (SOC), which shows a marked stratification with depth.

Using the Photostationary State of Arylazopyrazoles to Control Phase Transitions of Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A series of new arylazopyrazole photoswitches is designed as dopants for liquid crystalline materials. Unprecedented, the distribution of photoisomers at the photostationary state upon irradiation with light of specific wavelengths (365, 460, 520 nm) is used to control the liquid crystalline phase transitions under isothermal conditions, including ...

GNSS-R Snow Depth Inversion Study Based on SNR-SVR

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
The global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) technology has shown significant potential in retrieving snow depth using signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) data.

Calculations of groundwater recessions caused by drainage wells in arid climate taking into account the non-uniform inversion of groundwater evaporation

open access: yesCentral Asian Journal of Water Research, 2018
This article discusses dependencies to calculate the vertical drain wells taking into account evaporation inversion. In a zone near the well, where the depth of groundwater level (GWL) is below a critical level, the inversion is set as a constant value ...

Inverse monoids of dot-depth two

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 1989
The dot-depth hierarchy of star-free regular languages has been introduced by \textit{J. Brzozowski} and \textit{R. Cohen} [J. Comput. Syst. Sci. 5, 1-16 (1971; Zbl 0217.296)]. A variant has been considered by \textit{H. Straubing} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra, 36, 53-94 (1985; Zbl 0561.20042)]. Its level 0 consists of \(A^*\) and the empty set, and its \((n+

Coexisting Rashba/Dresselhaus Spin Splitting in Solution‐Processed Bournonite Films Using Circular Photogalvanic Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Focal Mechanism and Rupture Process of 2004 Alhoceima (Morocco, Mw=6.2) Earthquake from Teleseismic and Regional Broad-Band Data. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We have study the focal mechanism of the 2004 Alhoceima (Morocco, Mw=6.2) earthquake using teleseismic and regional broad-band data. The solution obtained shows strike slip motion with planes striking respectively on NNE-SSW and WNW-ESE direction and ...
