Impact of Seasonality on Climate Outcomes for Mid Latitude Marine Cloud Brightening

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 12, 28 June 2025.
Abstract Most previous studies on marine cloud brightening (MCB) have focused on deployment over the subtropical stratocumulus cloud decks which persistently result in non‐uniform cooling and disruption of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Climate Models Exaggerate the Enhanced Double‐ITCZ in the Warming Tropical Pacific Due To Preexisting Precipitation Bias

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 11, 16 June 2025.
Abstract Future greenhouse warming projections from the CMIP6 multi‐model ensemble indicate increased precipitation in the southeastern Pacific Ocean and a reduction in interhemispheric precipitation asymmetry, suggesting an enhanced double‐Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the tropical Pacific.

Record‐High Ozone in the Austral Mid‐Latitude Tropopause Region Driven by Dynamical and Chemical Effects of the 2019 Sudden Stratospheric Warming

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 9, 16 May 2025.
Abstract In January 2020, tropopause‐level ozone in the austral mid‐latitudes was the highest ever observed in the available Microwave Limb Sounder data record since 2004. Two extreme events preceded this anomaly: the Australian Black Summer fires and the 2019 sudden stratospheric warming (SSW), raising the question of how these disruptions influenced ...
