Sostendré que si la noción de derecho es entendida por referencia a la idea de derecho subjetivo en el sentido jurídico del término, la noción de derechos sociales es una contradicción en los términos. Si queremos evitar esta conclusión debemos rescatar una forma alternativa de entender el concepto político de derechos.
