An Overview of Speech Dereverberation

Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, 2021
Speech dereverberation is an important preprocessing step in speech signal processing, aims at improving the sound quality by canceling or suppressing the effect of reverb. This paper provides an overview of speech dereverberation algorithms, showing the development of speech dereverberation technology.

Evaluation of a dereverberation technique

Journal of Communication Disorders, 1991
A two-microphone dereverberation technique was evaluated by obtaining speech recognition measures and preference judgments from normal-hearing and hearing-impaired listeners. Monaural speech recognition performance was measured for two reverberation conditions (0.4 second and 1.2 seconds) with and without processing.
