Derivation of the third-order directional derivative

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1993
Summary: We give an easy derivation of the third order directional derivative in the direction of the gradient of the intensity function. The obtained formula is a correction of the formula found by \textit{J. J. Clark} [IEEE Trans. Pattern Anal. Mach. Intell. 11, No. 1, 43-57 (1989; Zbl 0665.68066)].

[Electrocardiograms: derived derivations!]

Revue de l'infirmiere, 2018
Simple and non-invasive, the electrocardiogram is a basic examination for studying how the cardiac muscle functions. Very commonly used, it nonetheless requires great rigour when applying the electrodes to avoid false results that can be harmful to appropriate care for the patient. A reminder of good practices.
