Antimalarial Action of Cinnoline Derivatives

Nature, 1946
A NOTEWORTHY feature of the published synthetic work relevant to the chemotherapy of malaria is the extent to which attention has been concentrated on the preparation of active agents derived from either quinoline or acridine, of which the two outstanding examples are respectively, pamaquin and mepacrine.

Derivatives in action

2021
This chapter illustrates how the derivative can be used to obtain important information about the shape of a function. The concept of a monotonic function; a function that is always either positively or negatively sloped is introduced. Furthermore, this chapter presents the stationary points, where a function reaches a maximum or minimum value, or a ...

The derivative action:

2012
The derivative action, also known as the derivative suit (in the United States), Aktionärsklage (Germany), kabunushi daihyŠsoshŠ(Japan), action sociale ut singuli (France) and paisheng susong (PRC) (among others), is a global phenomenon. Cholinolytic action phencyclidine derivatives

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1974
The cholinolytic activity of the hallucinogenic drug, phencyclidne (Sernyl®) was studied on the isolated frog rectus abdominis muscle. Direct interaction of phencyclidine derivatives with the cholinoceptor was shown to be based on their having a molecular structure and reactivity pattern similar to that of acetylcholine.

CONVULSANT ACTION OF PHENOTHIAZINE DERIVATIVES

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1957
Recent experience indicates that at least some of the ataraxic drugs, in relatively large doses, have the capacity to initiate epileptiform activity or to increase susceptibility to seizures. Present observations indicate that phenothiazine derivatives have the capacity to induce seizures, particularly in those individuals with a predisposition to such

The Derivative Action in Asia

2012
This in-depth comparative examination of the derivative action in Asia provides a framework for analysing its function, history and practical application and examines in detail how derivative actions law works in practice in seven important Asian jurisdictions (China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore).

Antimestastatic Action of Triazene Derivatives

1990
Dimethyltriazenes have gained, since the original observation in 1962 by Shealy et al. on the antitumor action of DTIC in mice (1), a definite position among antineoplastic drugs because of the established activity of DTIC against human malignant melanoma, as well as against other human malignancies when used in combination with other antitumor drugs ...

Derivative actions inSingapore:

2012
For readers looking for Asian exceptionalism, this chapter will disappoint. The current rise of shareholder litigation in Singapore lends little support to the tired trope of the reluctant Asian litigant. Familial bonds and face-saving settlements appear to play no more of a role in Singapore than they do in the West in preventing shareholder ...
