A note on the quasi‐local algebra of expander graphs

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We show that the quasi‐local algebra of a coarse disjoint union of expander graphs does not contain a Cartan subalgebra isomorphic to ℓ∞$\ell _\infty$. Ozawa has recently shown that these algebras are distinct from the uniform Roe algebras of expander graphs, and our result describes a further difference.

Introduction to Derived Algebraic Geometry

open access: yes
Derived Algebraic Geometry arises from the interplay between classical algebraic geometry, homotopy theory, and higher category theory. Building on the work of Grothendieck, Verdier, and Illusie, the theory developed through Quillen’s homotopical algebra and reached its modern form in the contributions of Toën–Vezzosi and Lurie. Within this framework,

On contact 3‐manifolds that admit a nonfree toric action

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We classify all contact structures on 3‐manifolds that admit a nonfree toric action, up to contactomorphism, and present them through explicit topological descriptions. Our classification is based on Lerman's classification of toric contact 3‐manifolds up to equivariant contactomorphism [Lerman, J. Symplectic Geom. 1 (2003), 785–828].

In silico modelling of multi‐electrode arrays for enhancing cardiac drug testing on hiPSC‐CM heterogeneous tissues

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Schematic overview of the experimental and computational framework for investigating hiPSC‐CM electrophysiology with MEA systems. The MEA‐based model integrates experimental data with phenotype‐specific ionic models and tissue‐level heterogeneity.

Forced Response Analysis of Dynamic Systems With Inertia Nonlinearity by Applying the Multiharmonic Balance Method

open access: yesPAMM, Volume 26, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Nonlinear mechanical vibrations under harmonic forcing can be well approximated by Fourier series. For a finite number of harmonics, the error is minimized over one period of vibration. This technique, known as multiharmonic balance method (MHBM), is today widely used in academics as well as industrial applications, e.g., for friction‐damped ...

The ∞$\infty$‐categorical reflection theorem and applications

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract We prove an ∞$\infty$‐categorical version of the reflection theorem of AdÁmek and Rosický [Arch. Math. 25 (1989), no. 1, 89–94]. Namely, that a full subcategory of a presentable ∞$\infty$‐category that is closed under limits and κ$\kappa$‐filtered colimits is a presentable ∞$\infty$‐category.

Convergence properties of dynamic mode decomposition for analytic interval maps

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 179-206, February 2026.
Abstract Extended dynamic mode decomposition (EDMD) is a data‐driven algorithm for approximating spectral data of the Koopman operator associated to a dynamical system, combining a Galerkin method with N$N$ functions and a quadrature method with M$M$ quadrature nodes.

Dimer models and conformal structures

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 340-446, February 2026.
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.

On the Q‐Polynomial Property of Bipartite Graphs Admitting a Uniform Structure

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Designs, Volume 34, Issue 2, Page 69-86, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Let Γ denote a finite, connected graph with vertex set X. Fix x ∈ X and let ε ≥ 3 denote the eccentricity of x. For mutually distinct scalars { θ i * } i = 0 ε define a diagonal matrix A * = A * ( θ 0 * , θ 1 * , … , θ ε * ) ∈ Mat X ( R ) as follows: for y ∈ X we let ( A * ) y y = θ ∂ ( x , y ) *, where ∂ denotes the shortest path length ...
