Discrete triangulated categories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce and study several homological notions which generalise the discrete derived categories of D. Vossieck. As an application, we show that Vossieck discrete algebras have this property with respect to all bounded t-structures.

Triangulated Endofunctors of the Derived Category of Coherent Sheaves Which Do Not Admit DG Liftings [PDF]

open access: yesArnold Mathematical Journal, 2019
Recently, Rizzardo and Van den Bergh constructed an example of a triangulated functor between the derived categories of coherent sheaves on smooth projective varieties over a field $k$ of characteristic $0$ which is not of the Fourier-Mukai type. The purpose of this note is to show that if $char \, k =p$ then there are very simple examples of such ...

The connection between May's axioms for a triangulated tensor product and Happel's description of the derived category of the quiver $D_4$

open access: yesDocumenta Mathematica, 2002
In an important recent paper citeMay01, May gave an axiomatic description of the properties of triangulated categories with a symmetric tensor product. The main point of the current article is that there are two other results in the literature which can be used to shed considerable light on May's work.

The Triangulated Structure of the Stable Derived Category

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1994
The author continues his previous study on the stable derived category \(\overline {D}^ b (A)\) of a finite-dimensional self-injective algebra \(A\) [J. Algebra 157, 430-452 (1993; Zbl 0789.16011), and ibid. 157, 116- 127 (1993; Zbl 0793.16004)]. In the first section it is shown that \(\overline {D}^ b (A)\) can be defined by localizing with respect to

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

An Introduction To Triangulated Categories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Denne bacheloroppgaven har som mål i å gi en presentasjon av teorien til triangulerte kategorier. Hovedmålet er å vise at Verdier kvotientent, homotopikategorien og den deriverte kategorien er triangulert. This thesis aims to give an exposition to the ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

McKay correspondence for Landau-Ginzburg models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper we prove an analogue of the McKay correspondence for Landau-Ginzburg models. Our proof is based on the ideas introduced by T. Bridgeland, A. King and M.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We
