Itch in Allergic Contact Dermatitis

open access: yesFrontiers in Allergy, 2021
Contact dermatitis is a continuous growing environmental and occupational health problem. It results in high costs for health care systems and the economy due to productivity loss. Moreover, it has a huge impact on the quality of life of patients.

Harnessing Jasminum Bioactive Compounds: Updated Insights for Therapeutic and Food Preservation Innovations

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Jasminum bioactives improve food preservation by providing antimicrobial and antioxidant effects, especially when incorporated into active packaging, edible films, and nanoformulations that enhance stability and controlled release. They also offer many pharmacological benefits, including anti‐inflammatory, neuroprotective, and wound‐healing properties.

Exclusion of Disperse Orange 3 is possible from the textile dye mix present in the Swedish baseline patch test series. A study by the Swedish Contact Dermatitis Research Group

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 88, Issue 1, Page 54-59, January 2023., 2023
PPD is a marker of Disperse Orange 3 (DO 3)‐allergy. Exclusion of DO 3 is possible from the textile dye mix (TDM 6.6% pet.) since those allergic to textile dye mix 7.0% (44) plus those allergic to PPD and TDM 6.6% but negative to TDM 7.0% (13) outnumbers those allergic to TDM 6.6% (53).

Toxicity and Quality of Life After Locoregional Radiotherapy in Patients With Thyroid Cancer

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Locoregional external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) is selectively used in thyroid cancer patients to induce locoregional control. However, despite technological advances, EBRT remains associated with toxicities. We evaluated thyroid‐cancer specific toxicities and long‐term Quality of Life (QoL) post‐EBRT.

Patch test results in a Dutch paediatric population with suspected contact allergy: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 88, Issue 2, Page 120-128, February 2023., 2023
Most frequent sensitizers in a Dutch paediatric population (N = 439). Of the 439 children and adolescents with suspected contact allergy, 334 (76%) had a positive patch test. Testing with only the European baseline series would underdiagnosed 20.3% of all patients tested.

Inference of Mixed Graphical Models for Dichotomous Phenotypes using Markov Random Field Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this article, we propose a new method named fused mixed graphical model (FMGM), which can infer network structures for dichotomous phenotypes. We assumed that the interplay of different omics markers is associated with disease status and proposed an FMGM-based method to detect the associated omics marker network difference. The statistical models of

Clinical Outcomes of Intensity Modulated Proton Therapy for Salivary Gland Carcinoma: High Local Control and Quality of Life Preservation

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background In recent years, particle therapy has shown promise as a local treatment for salivary gland carcinoma (SGC); however, its efficacy and safety remain unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of intensity‐modulated proton therapy (IMPT) for SGC.

The role of skin inflammation, barrier dysfunction, and oral tolerance in skin sensitization to gluten‐derived hydrolysates in a rat model

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 88, Issue 2, Page 109-119, February 2023., 2023
Skin barrier dysfunction and inflammation play a limited role in the cutaneous sensitization to gluten‐derived hydrolysates. Skin barrier dysfunction and inflammation do not promote breakage of oral tolerance to gluten thought cutaneous sensitization to gluten‐derived hydrolysates.

ALLERGIC CONTACT DERMATITIS

open access: yese-Jurnal Medika Udayana, 2013
