Prescription and application adequacy of topical corticosteroids based on the finger‐tip unit method in adult patients with atopic dermatitis: A cross‐sectional study

A survey of atopic dermatitis patients at community pharmacies revealed that over one‐third had insufficient topical corticosteroid prescriptions and applications based on the Finger‐Tip Unit method. Prescription insufficiency was associated with application insufficiency.

Recurrent anorexia because of gastrointestinal beriberi in a home care patient

An elderly man with a history of unexplained anorexia and lethargy was diagnosed with gastrointestinal beriberi during home care. Empiric oral thiamine supplementation led to dramatic improvement, underscoring the importance of early recognition and treatment of thiamine deficiency.

A Case of Staphylococcus aureus Septic Arthritis After COVID‐19 Vaccination

A 49‐year‐old man with diabetes undergoing hemodialysis developed right shoulder pain and fever following his sixth dose of the COVID‐19 vaccine. The culture of the synovial fluid detected Staphylococcus aureus, leading to a diagnosis of septic arthritis.
