Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is an intermediate-grade sarcoma that arises in the dermis of the trunk, proximal extremities, and less commonly, in the head and neck area of adults. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans has a deceptively innocuous early clinical appearance and generally exhibits an indolent course for years before entering a rapid growth ...

DERMATOFIBROSARCOMA PROTUBERANS
International Journal of Dermatology, 1996Abstract Background. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a locally aggressive soft tissue sarcoma in which recurrences are common. It usually affects middle‐aged individuals with the most common location being the trunk. Sex distribution varies among published series. Mohs surgery is the treatment of choice.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Cancer, 2004AbstractIn the current review, the authors set out to discuss the natural history and treatment of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP), a rare indolent cutaneous tumor. Approximately 10–15% of all DFSPs contain areas of fibrosarcoma (DFSP‐FS), and such cases tend to exhibit more aggressive behavior.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Dermatologic Therapy, 2008Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a rare cutaneous malignancy that is locally invasive, occurs mainly over the trunk and proximal extremities, and has a tendency to recur after wide local excision. The epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, histology, and treatment options are discussed.

DERMATOFIBROSARCOMA PROTUBERANS
International Journal of Dermatology, 1995Abstract Background. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (dfsp) is an uncommon malignant tumor of the skin, the diagnosis of which can be difficult not only clinically but also histologically. The tumor has a low metastatic potential, but tends to recur locally if removal is incomplete. Methods.

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans
The Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology, 1978Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a well‐differentiated sarcoma that rarely metastasizes but is characterized by a high recurrence rate. This is due to clinically undetectable, microscopic extensions into the surrounding dermis. Chemosurgery (Mohs) is effective in the ablation of this tumor because the extensions can be identified and eradicated.

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans
Dermatologic Clinics, 2019Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an uncommon dermal neoplasm that exhibits a high rate of local recurrence and infiltrative behavior, but has a low risk of metastasis. It arises as a slowly progressive, painless pink or violet plaque. Histologically, DFSP is characterized by a monomorphous spindle cell proliferation in a storiform pattern. The

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans
Surgical Clinics of North America, 2016Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare superficial soft tissue sarcoma. Its rarity precludes large prospective studies. Clinical diagnosis requires an high index of suspicion. Effective management requires an appreciation of tumor biology and the nature of the characteristic infiltrative growth pattern. DFSP tends to recur locally, with a low
