Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Dermatologic Therapy, 2008Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a rare cutaneous malignancy that is locally invasive, occurs mainly over the trunk and proximal extremities, and has a tendency to recur after wide local excision. The epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, histology, and treatment options are discussed.

DERMATOFIBROSARCOMA PROTUBERANS
International Journal of Dermatology, 1995Abstract Background. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (dfsp) is an uncommon malignant tumor of the skin, the diagnosis of which can be difficult not only clinically but also histologically. Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans
The Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology, 1978Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a well‐differentiated sarcoma that rarely metastasizes but is characterized by a high recurrence rate. This is due to clinically undetectable, microscopic extensions into the surrounding dermis. Chemosurgery (Mohs) is effective in the ablation of this tumor because the extensions can be identified and eradicated.

Vulvar dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Gynecologic Oncology, 1988Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the vulva is an extremely rare neoplasm. This low-grade sarcoma of the dermis clinically appears to be encapsulated but microscopically has tumor projections well away from the central nodules. Wide local excision is the recommended treatment for dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans; however, a more radical surgical ...

Atrophic dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2005SUMMARYA 48‐year‐old woman presented with a 20‐year history of an asymptomatic depressed atrophic plaque on the abdomen. Five years earlier a punch biopsy of the same lesion had been carried out and a diagnosis of dermatofibroma was made. She was reassured and discharged. Further consultation was sought due to extension and thickening of the lesion. Re‐
