GRISEOFULVIN FOR THE SYSTEMIC TREATMENT OF DERMATOMYCOSES [PDF]
Griseofulvin, an antibiotic obtainable from at least four kinds of Penicillium, has been found effective in certain experimental fungous infections of animals as well as in fungous diseases of man. It was used in 200 patients with superficial fungous infections at 311 sites of major involvement.

GRISEOFULVIN IN DERMATOMYCOSES
JAMA, 1960Griseofulvin was administered orally in uniform doses of 1,000 mg. daily to 80 patients with dermatomycoses due to Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum, Candida albicans, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum lanosum. Clotrimazole in treatment of dermatomycoses and vaginitis
Mycoses, 1977Summary62 patients with dermatomycoses and 39 patients suffering from vaginitis were treated with topical application (1 %) of clotrimazole (Canesten) cream and vaginal tablets (100 mg) respectively. A majority of the patients (44) of dermatophytoses were completely cured in 3 to 6 weeks and all cases (11) of cutaneous candidiasis in 1 to 2 weeks.

Miconazole Nitrate in the Treatment of Dermatomycoses
Dermatology, 1975Miconazole nitrate was used topically in 83 dermatophytic and candidal infections. Complete cure was obtained in 81% of the cases. The <i>in vitro</i> studies made before, during and after treatment showed no evidence of resistance to the drug. The miconazole 2% cream and powder preparations were well tolerated.
