Dermoid cysts are embryonic lesions usually observed in the lateral eyebrow region and the midline nose and neck areas. Communication of these lesions with the central nervous system is rare and occurs in the nasal region. There are few clinical reports of temporal dermoid cysts presenting with intracranial extension, and we present a 15-year-old girl ...

✓ Supratentorial dermoid cysts are rare lesions. In eight cases presented here, the lack of recurrence after subtotal removal of the capsule and the good long-term prognosis are emphasized. This finding is in agreement with the literature. The frequent relationship of these lesions with the cavernous sinus suggests a vascular genesis in the development

Context Cystic lesions of the pancreas constitute a wide spectrum of entities ranging from non-neoplastic to malignant neoplastic lesions. Dermoid cysts (cystic teratoma) are uncommon benign, well-differentiated germ cell lesions. Teratomas can be divided into mature and immature subtypes. Mature cystic teratoma is commonly found in the ovary.

Dermoid cysts of the nose may present difficult management problems if inadequately evaluated preoperatively or if incompletely excised. It is most important to differentiate them from nasal gliomas, neurofibromas, encephalocoeles, or meningiocoeles. Confusion with other benign lesions such as sebaceous cysts, mucocoeles, inclusion cysts, hemangiomas ...

Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, 1983
Rectal cysts are uncommon, with a search of the medical literature revealing only 12 reported cases. This is in contrast with postanal and sacrococcygeal dermoids which, although still uncommon, appear to occur more frequently. This paper describes a case involving a dermoid cyst arising in the lateral wall of the rectum and reviews the recorded cases ...

Dermoid ovarian cysts, or mature cystic teratomas, are the most common benign ovarian neoplasms found in adolescents and they continue to challenge clinicians about correct management and treatment.Laparoscopic treatment for large cysts is usually the preferred method with ovarian preservation.

A 3-year-old bull was examined because of a fluctuant mass on the ventral midline of the cranial portion of the cervical area. The mass originally developed after the bull was handled in a squeeze chute for routine health care. The mass was aspirated and incised repeatedly during the 18 months before referral.
