Interface‐Engineered Strategy on Carbon Nanotubes to Chemical Stabilize Graphene as a Self‐Healing Fiber Electrode for Superior Capacitive Deionization

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 2, March 2026.
In this work, we developed an interface engineering strategy to prepare a high‐strength and high‐toughness fiber electrode based on holey reduced graphene oxide (HRGO) and carboxylated carbon nanotubes (CCNT) through introducing borate bonds as bridging interactions.

α‐Al2O3 Networks on MLG Membranes for Continuous Lithium Ion Extraction from Artificial Sea Water with Enhanced Selectivity and Durability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 2, March 2026.
An α‐Al2O3‐decorated multilayer graphene membrane enables highly selective lithium ion extraction from artificial seawater via electrodialysis. The confined ion channels and competitive ion transport dynamics enhance lithium selectivity, achieving 88.9% purity and 88.6% recovery over three extraction cycles while maintaining stable ion flux.

Experimental and Numerical Study on Enhancing the Performance of a Stepped Solar Still Using Porous Sponge Materials

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1456-1473, March 2026.
Three designs were built and tested: a single‐slope still, a six‐stepped still, and a six‐stepped still with 5 mm sponge sheets. The novelty lies in fixing porous sponge sheets to the vertical faces of the steps. Yield of freshwater and instantaneous efficiency were determined in various combinations, that is, base, stepped, and stepped‐cum‐sponge ...

The Anti‐Constipation Effect of Garlic Polysaccharides: Roles of Gut Barrier Integrity, VIP Pathway, and the Microbiota‐SCFAs Axis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
Garlic polysaccharides (GP) demonstrated potential against functional constipation. In vitro, GP exhibited digestive resistance properties and boosted beneficial Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. In constipated mice, GP alleviated constipation by reducing oxidative stress and repairing the mechanical, chemical, and immune barriers.

Exploring Residents' Perceptions of the Hotel Industry's Impact on Water Resources

open access: yesInternational Journal of Tourism Research, Volume 28, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Understanding residents' perceptions regarding the environmental impact of tourism activities in a destination, including the depletion of water resources, is essential when it comes to promoting coexistence between tourism development and the local population.
