Estimation of Scattering Properties Modifications Caused by In Vivo Human Skin Optical Clearing Using Line‐Field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC‐OCT) is used to determine the human skin in vivo optical properties (OPs) modifications caused by biocompatible optical clearing. After a prior calibration using a phantom with determined OPs, a theoretical model is applied to mean in‐depth intensity profiles of 3D LC‐OCT images acquired during ...

Artificial Intelligence to Determine Correct Midsagittal Plane in Dynamic Transperineal Ultrasound

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
We have created a model that allows determining the correct midsagittal plane captured by transperineal dynamic ultrasound, with a level of agreement with the expert examiner similar to or higher than that of a junior or senior examiner. ABSTRACT Purpose To create and validate a machine learning(ML) model that allows for identifying the correct capture

The Impairment of Body Condition Transiently Increases Oxidative Stress: A Dietary Restriction Experiment in Partridges

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Zoology Part A: Ecological and Integrative Physiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A proper body condition determines the correct functioning of physiological processes and the optimal expression of fitness‐related traits. Among these processes, maintaining the redox balance is essential to protect the organism from damage caused by oxidative stress.

Hydrolyzation‐Free Characterization of Acetalated Dextran via 2D Correlated Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
The hydrophilicity and stability of acetalated dextran can be modified by controlling the ratio of cyclic and acyclic substitution products, allowing the alteration of the material's degradation profile. Raman spectroscopy offers a non‐destructive analysis method of the solid products independent of the time critical acetone signal in 1H‐NMR.

Desarrollo económico y desarrollo humano.

open access: yes, 2018

Reevaluating Sociodemographic Influences on the Collaborative Economy: Fresh Insights for Emerging Business Models in the European Union

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how sociodemographic factors influence engagement with the Collaborative Economy within the European Union, analyzing data from Flash Eurobarometer 467. Employing hierarchical clustering and multiple regression analyses, we explore the perceived advantages of Collaborative Economy participation across diverse demographic ...
