Effect of Astragalus mollissimus on Ruminal Fermentation, Methane Production and Performance of Sheep. [PDF]
The effects of A. mollissimus (AM) supplementation on methane (CH4) production, volatile fatty acids, animal performance and nitro compound presence in blood were evaluated through two experiments. Results showed an CH4 reduction by up to 60%. No adverse effects on animal performance and no detectable nitro compound in plasma were reported.
