Endothelial keratoplasty for posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy in a 4-month-old infant
Purpose: To report a case of endothelial keratoplasties (EKs) performed in a 4 month old with a posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy. Observations: A 4 month old infant underwent Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) for posterior ...

This study reports the upregulation of ELMO1 and GPR141 in human Fuchs' endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) corneal endothelium and ultraviolet A‐induced FECD mice model. A genetic association of an intergenic single nucleotide polymorphism rs918980 present between both genes is observed with FECD in the Indian population.

OCT in Lamellar Corneal Transplantation [PDF]
Anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) is a valuable tool in corneal transplantation surgery. In deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK), AS-OCT gives valuable information on preoperative decision process. AS-OCT image of the recipient

Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty for Bullous Keratopathy and Posterior Corneal Opacities
Although the presence of central corneal opacities could limit the visual prognosis, Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) was performed and completely resolved corneal edema and opacities on the visual axis.

Microthin Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty Versus Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty [PDF]
Purpose: \ud \ud To compare visual outcomes, complications, and vision-related quality of life (QoL) after microthin Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (MT-DSAEK) versus Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) for the management of corneal endothelial dysfunction in Fuchs dystrophy.\ud Methods: \ud \ud This is a prospective,

Exploring the Debate: DMEK and DSEK in Corneal Transplantation [PDF]
Scientific progress is rarely a linear process. This notion is especially true as it pertains to the development of surgical techniques that have the potential to shape future clinical landscapes. Corneal transplantation is no exception.
