Two orders of wall‐to‐wall geographic data

open access: yesArea, EarlyView.
Short Abstract The use of the term ‘wall‐to‐wall’ to describe geographically extensive data without any singular definition in the remote sensing and geographically related analysis. This work presents an assessment of the application of the term in the scientific literature. Abstract From personal observations of recent published works, the term “wall‐

Design requirements and development of an airborne descent path definition algorithm for time navigation [PDF]

open access: yes
The design requirements for a 4D path definition algorithm are described. These requirements were developed for the NASA ATOPS as an extension of the Local Flow Management/Profile Descent algorithm.

Human hypoxia models in aerospace medicine: Potential applications for human pharmacological research

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aerospace medicine required controlled terrestrial models to investigate influences of altered atmosphere conditions, such as hypoxia, on human health and performance. These models could potentially be expanded to encompass disease conditions or treatment targets regulated through hypoxia or hypercapnia.

Impacts of technology on the capacity needs of the US national airspace system [PDF]

open access: yes
A review of the U.S. air transportation system is undertaken, focusing on airspace and airport capacity. Causes of delay and congestion are investigated. Aircraft noise is identified as the fundamental hindrance to capacity improvement.

Comprehensive Statistical and Reliability Analysis for Safe Design Fatigue Life of Notched and Unnotched Al7075‐T6 Alloy

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fatigue failure in aerospace structures is critically influenced by stress concentrators such as notches, which reduce service life and compromise safety. This study experimentally investigates the fatigue behavior of Al7075‐T6 alloy under rotating bending (R = −1, 60 Hz), considering notched and unnotched conditions.
