Martin's conjecture, arithmetic equivalence, and countable Borel equivalence relations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
There is a fascinating interplay and overlap between recursion theory and descriptive set theory. A particularly beautiful source of such interaction has been Martin's conjecture on Turing invariant functions.

The Ramsey property implies no mad families [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We show that if all collections of infinite subsets of $\N$ have the Ramsey property, then there are no infinite maximal almost disjoint (mad) families. This solves a long-standing problem going back to Mathias \cite{mathias}.

Quasi-isometric diversity of marked groups

open access: yes, 2021
We use basic tools of descriptive set theory to prove that a closed set $\mathcal S$ of marked groups has $2^{\aleph_0}$ quasi-isometry classes provided every non-empty open subset of $\mathcal S$ contains at least two non-quasi-isometric groups.

An Application for Descriptive Nearness: Iris Recognition

open access: yesTopological Algebra and its Applications, 2017
Near Set Theory has various applications in the literature. In this paper, using the concept descriptive nearness, we show how to perform iris recognition. This process has a few algorithms given via Mathematica Script Language.

Generalized Descriptive Set Theory and Classification Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
