Programming an Enhanced Uptake and the Intracellular Fate of Magnetic Microbeads

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 12, Issue 30, December 4, 2023., 2023
The surface topography of magnetic microbeads has a significant impact on their cellular uptake, both when dragged by a magnetic field gradient to end up in the cytoplasm, or when internalized by the cells using the adsorptive mechanism, leading to their localization in the late endosomes and lysosomes, paving different strategies in the biomedical ...

Regulating Polaron Transport Regime via Heterojunction Engineering in Cove‐Type Graphene Nanoribbons

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2023., 2023
In this work, the electronic properties of cove‐type‐based heterojunctions are investigated. Results show that such structural changes provide multiple smooth and monotonic tuning routes for energy bandgap while deeply tailoring the polaron's morphology.
