Anti‐Biofouling Coatings Based on Ultra‐Slippery Surfaces
ABSTRACT Traditional treatment of biofouling with toxic paints or antibiotics has significant limitations and challenges, including negative impacts on surrounding ecosystems and the emergence of resistant microbial strains. Antibiotics often prove ineffective in penetrating the dense and protective structure of biofilms, rendering traditional ...

Strategies to Support Equity‐Driven Practices in Rural Colleges
ABSTRACT Rural Community Colleges serve as community hubs for their regions and often times provide the only access to higher education for miles around. Like community colleges around the country, rural community colleges also provide access to Students of Color at greater rates than their 4‐year university peers. Yet, equity‐driven practices in rural

Exfoliation by ultrasound of graphitic carbon nitride improved activity for the photoreduction of CO2. Abstract Exfoliation of graphitic carbon nitride g‐C3N4 by means of ultrasound (US) treatment at varying input power is investigated. Exfoliation of g‐C3N4 displays a strong dependence of US input power, with a slightly enhanced bandgap (2.8 eV), but ...

A hybrid photocatalyst of biomass‐derived carbon nanospheres and TiO₂ has been developed from waste coffee leaves, achieving 99% MB dye degradation. The carbon reduces the bandgap, boosting UV photocatalysis, and the material shows excellent stability and recyclability, offering a sustainable, scalable solution for wastewater treatment.

Bi/BiOBr/P25 TiO2 composites are synthesized via a solvothermal method incorporating 1 wt% of a carbon‐based material (graphene oxide [GO], graphene, carbon nanotubes, or buckminsterfullerene). The GO–based composite exhibits the highest photocatalytic NOx removal efficiency (≈22% NO and ≈15% NO2) with these synergetic improvements attributed to ...
