CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A Review of Design-Based Research

2016 IEEE 16th International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT), 2016
This paper intends to offer a general introduction to Design-Based Research (DBR). Based on this purpose, the paper firstly identifies the dual goals of DBR, and then explains the role of Design in DBR along with the main procedures for conducting DBR.

Design-Based Research

2010
Design-based research, with the design experiment as its main practical method, can be characterised as an inter-disciplinary ‘mixed-method’ research approach conducted ‘in the field’ that serves applied as well as theory-building purposes. Substantial progress has been made over recent years in articulating the methodological and epistemological basis
