A lesbofobia se caracteriza como o preconceito direcionado às lésbicas. Diferentemente da homofobia, a lesbofobia carrega consigo a misoginia e o sexismo, pois advém da cultura da heteronormatividade e da heterossexualidade como regime político (Wittig, 1980). Logo, a cultura vigente lança um estado de invisibilização e negação da existência da lésbica.
