Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

A new Design Concept for Point Fixed Glazing
The determination of load carrying capacity and serviceability of point fixed glazing is a challenging task. A lot of parameters have an influence on the resulting values, especially on stress values around the bore hole.

Verification of Magnitude and Phase Responses in Fixed-Point Digital Filters
In the digital signal processing (DSP) area, one of the most important tasks is digital filter design. Currently, this procedure is performed with the aid of computational tools, which generally assume filter coefficients represented with floating-point ...

It is pointed out that multi-objective simultaneous design is very important. In the previous paper, we proposed a method for the design based on the concept of set-based approach with preference for design variable and performance. In the present study,

Optimal Designs on Tchebycheff Points
Kiefer and Wolfowitz (1959) proved that the optimal design for estimating the highest coefficient in polynomial regression is supported by certain Tchebycheff points. Hoel and Levine (1964) showed that the optimal designs for extrapolation in polynomial regression were all supported by the Tchebycheff points.

ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...
