Infinite Exchangeability for Sets of Desirable Gambles [PDF]
Sets of desirable gambles constitute a quite general type of uncertainty model with an interesting geometrical interpretation. We study infinite exchangeability assessments for them, and give a counterpart of de Finetti’s infinite representation theorem.

Lexicographic choice functions [PDF]
We investigate a generalisation of the coherent choice functions considered by Seidenfeld et al. (2010), by sticking to the convexity axiom but imposing no Archimedeanity condition. We define our choice functions on vector spaces of options, which allows

Axiomatising Incomplete Preferences through Sets of Desirable Gambles
We establish the equivalence of two very general theories: the first is the decision-theoretic formalisation of incomplete preferences based on the mixture independence axiom; the second is the theory of coherent sets of desirable gambles (bounded variables) developed in the context of imprecise probability and extended here to vector-valued gambles ...

Exchangeable choice functions [PDF]
We investigate how to model exchangeability with choice functions. Exchangeability is a structural assessment on a sequence of uncertain variables. We show how such assessments are a special indifference assessment, and how that leads to a counterpart of

Believing Probabilistic Contents: On the Expressive Power and Coherence of Sets of Sets of Probabilities [PDF]
Moss (2018) argues that rational agents are best thought of not as having degrees of belief in various propositions but as having beliefs in probabilistic contents, or probabilistic beliefs.

Factors predicting desired autonomy in medical decisions: Risk-taking and gambling behaviors [PDF]
This study investigated factors that influence patients’ desired level of autonomy in medical decisions. Analyses included previously supported demographic variables in addition to risk-taking and gambling behaviors, which exhibit a strong relationship with overall health and decision-making, but have not been investigated in conjunction with medical ...

Uncertainty models such as sets of desirable gambles and (conditional) lower previsions can be represented as convex cones. Checking the consistency of and drawing inferences from such models requires solving feasibility and optimization problems.

When (and why) absolute decision attribute values influence human preferences
Relative rank models of risky decision-making suggest that human preferences are informed by sampled (and not absolute) values and their relative ranks.

Lexicographic choice functions without archimedeanicity [PDF]
We investigate the connection between choice functions and lexicographic probabilities, by means of the convexity axiom considered by Seidenfeld, Schervisch and Kadane (2010) but without imposing any Archimedean condition.
