Visualizing and Quantifying Impact with Mechanochromic Sensing Paints Based on Self‐Assembled Polydiacetylene‐Silk Core‐Shell Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracking physical impacts is important in many fields. Self‐assembled microparticles made from polydiacetylene and silk fibroin that change color from blue to red when hit can provide an alternative approach to traditional mechanical transducers, quantitatively visualizing impact with responses ranging from <100 to 770 N.

A “Hot Spring” Mimetic Aerogel Loaded with Multiple Amino Acids Modulates the Chronic Inflammatory Microenvironment Through Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The SrCuSi4O₁₀ bioceramic particles mimic the effects of hot spring therapy by increasing the local wound temperature, which enhances the absorption of amino acids and stimulates cell metabolism. The amino acid uptake supports cellular glutathione redox reactions, helping to mitigate oxidative stress.

Improved Direct Ink Writing of Liquid Metal Foams via Liquid Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The ability to pattern liquid metal is useful for making soft electrical and thermal devices. Dispensing liquid metal from a nozzle naturally results in the formation of spheroidal droplets, making direct‐write printing challenging. Liquid metal foams containing pockets of air can extrude as filaments, albeit inconsistently.

Parametric Optimization of PEDOT:PSS Aerosol Jet Printing for Enhanced Line Morphology in Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work maps and optimizes aerosol‐jet printing of PEDOT:PSS on flexible polyimide. By co‐tuning carrier and sheath gas flows, print speed, and solvent composition with surface activation, continuous, uniform microlines with sharp edges and minimal overspray are achieved.
