All‐Day Multicyclic Atmospheric Water Harvesting Enabled by Polyelectrolyte Hydrogel with Hybrid Desorption Mode

Advances in Materials, 2023
Sorption‐based atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) is a promising approach for mitigating worldwide water scarcity. However, reliable water supply driven by sustainable energy regardless of diurnal variation and weather remains a long‐standing challenge ...

Desorption times in flash desorption and isothermal desorption experiments

Chemical Physics Letters, 1979
Abstract Setting up the appropriate initial value problems in a non-equilibrium quantum-statistical theory of desorption we calculate and correlate isothermal and flash desorption times and show that, though different, they are of the same order over reasonable temperatures. Predictions for the He/constantan and He/LiF systems are given.

Desorption and ionization mechanisms and signal enhancement in surface assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (SALDI-MS)

Applied spectroscopy reviews (Softcover ed.), 2020
Surface assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (SALDI-MS) has been recognized as one of the prominent techniques in mass analysis of small molecules as well as large nonvolatile molecules since it bears many advantages compared to matrix ...

An Interfacial Solar‐Driven Atmospheric Water Generator Based on a Liquid Sorbent with Simultaneous Adsorption–Desorption

Advances in Materials, 2019
Water scarcity is one of the greatest challenges facing human society. Because of the abundant amount of water present in the atmosphere, there are significant efforts to harvest water from air.

Deconstructing Desorption Electrospray Ionization: Independent Optimization of Desorption and Ionization by Spray Desorption Collection

Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, 2012
Spray desorption collection (SDC) and reflective electrospray ionization (RESI) were used to independently study the desorption and ionization processes that together comprise desorption electrospray ionization (DESI). Both processes depend on several instrumental parameters, including the nebulizing gas flow rate, applied potential, and source ...

Desorption and Ionization Mechanisms in Desorption Atmospheric Pressure Photoionization

Analytical Chemistry, 2008
The factors influencing desorption and ionization in newly developed desorption atmospheric pressure photoionization-mass spectrometry (DAPPI-MS) were studied. Redirecting the DAPPI spray was observed to further improve the versatility of the technique: for dilute samples, parallel spray with increased analyte signal was found to be the best suited ...

Desorption rate isotherms in flash desorption analysis

Journal of Catalysis, 1977
Abstract In most flash desorption and temperature programmed desorption experiments only a small fraction of the data obtained is used in the kinetic analysis. A technique which utilizes more of the desorption data from a series of desorption curves obtained at different initial surface coverages is discussed.
