Optimization and non-destructive test analysis of SS316L weldments using GTAW [PDF]
This work aims at optimization and analysis of SS316L weldments using TIG Welding, SS316L is selected over other grades because of its lower carbon content and its weldability properties. The welding parameters are being assessed by means of Taguchi's L9

Selection of cutting parameters for the machinability of Inconel 718 using Grey Relational Analysis
Inconel 718 is considered to be most difficult to machine superalloy because of its high shear strength, work hardening and precipitation hardening. Abrasive particles which are in microstructure have tendency have forming chip to be welded to tool and ...

Investigate and Comparison Effect add Amorphous and Crystalline - Nano SiO2 on Properties of Concrete [PDF]
In this paper, the study included the comparison between amorphous silica and crystalline silica (quartz), and with nano scale size, two types of silicawere added to concrete by ratios (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) as a replacement by the weight of cement ...

PROTOTYPE TESTING OF DOLOSSE TO DESTRUCTION
The Dolos, a type of armor unit, has been used widely for breakwater and shore protection works in the world. However, it has been reported that the armor layers of several breakwaters have been damaged by wave action, and it is probable that the breakage of Dolos has been the cause of that failure. In this paper, static and dynamic tests using Dolosse

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON THE NON-DESTRUCTIVE TEST FOR POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITE
Polymer matrix composite (PMC) is widely applied in structural engineering mainly due to its high strength-to-weight ratio. Of many benefits, the transportation industry uses this type of material mainly due to its high strength-to-weight ratio.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

System of Non-Destructive Testing [PDF]
In this paper the initial analysis of NDT laboratory is presented by means of agent-based modelling. For the purpose of analysis, laboratory is taken into account as a complex system consisting of three agents; equipment, personnel and specimens. Interaction between the agents is circular.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
