ZnO‐Functionalized Silicon Carbide Ceramic Membranes for Removing Impurities From Biodiesel
Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic membranes functionalized with zinc oxide (ZnO) were assessed for biodiesel purification through crossflow filtration. The ZnO–SiC membranes effectively retained metallic impurities, especially calcium, sodium, and phosphorus, achieving levels that meet biodiesel quality standards.

Dual‐Phosphorus, Dual‐Nitrogen‐Embedded Corannulene: Synthesis, Structure, and Electronic Coupling
P2N2‐TBC, a corannulene‐based bowl structure incorporating two phosphorus and two nitrogen atoms, represents the first P2N2‐embedded heterobuckybowl. The cis and trans stereoisomers of this compound display distinct packing motifs, leading to markedly different electronic coupling patterns.

Carbon−Phosphorus Bond Activation of Tri(2-thienyl)phosphine at Dirhenium and Dimanganese Centers [PDF]
Reaction of [Re2(CO)9(NCMe)] with tri(2-thienyl)phosphine (PTh3) in refluxing cyclohexane affords three substituted dirhenium complexes: [Re2(CO)9(PTh3)] (1), [Re2(CO)8(NCMe)(PTh3)] (2), and [Re2(CO)8(PTh3)2] (3).

A polymeric hybrid material formulated as [MoO3(bis(pyrazolyl)methane)] has been prepared and used as a catalyst precursor for the complete oxidative desulfurization of a model diesel containing recalcitrant benzothiophene derivatives. The precursor is converted in situ to an oxodiperoxo active species which is retained in the recyclable extractant ...

Removal and Reuse of Phosphorus as a Fertilizer from CAFO Runoff [PDF]
Eutrophication is the process in which nutrient saturated waters promote algal blooms on the surface of the water. This limits the amount of dissolved oxygen content in the water, effectively limiting the range of species that can survive in a body of ...

Potentialities of TEC topping: A simplified view of parametric effects [PDF]
An examination of the benefits of thermionic-energy-conversion (TEC)-topped power plants and methods of increasing conversion efficiency are discussed. Reductions in the cost of TEC modules yield direct decreases in the cost of electricity (COE) from TEC-

A harmonized LCA and TEA framework evaluates 19 bioenergy pathways, quantifying carbon intensity (CI), minimum fuel selling price (MFSP), and marginal abatement cost (MAC). CCS reduces CI to net‐negative values and lowers MAC by up to 64%, with bioelectricity achieving the lowest MAC and liquid biofuels critical for hard‐to‐abate sectors.

Reactivity of pi-complexes of Ti, V, and Nb towards dithioacetic acid: Synthesis and structure of novel metal sulfur-containing complexes [PDF]
In order to use sulfur-containing resources economically and with minimal environmental damage, it is important to understand the desulfurization processes. Hydrodesulfurization, for example, is carried out on the surface of a heterogeneous metal sulfide
