Use of functional assays to detect and quantify functional selectivity

Drug Discovery Today: Technologies, 2010
Drug selectivity is arguably a critical concern for drug development. Recently, experimental evidence suggests that drugs have more selectivity than that afforded by differential affinity for different receptor subtypes. Drugs, acting at a single receptor, can selectively and differentially activate each of the multiple signaling pathways coupled to a ...

Detection of Bisymmetric Functions.

1986
Abstract : A detection algorithm for a new class of functions has been presented. This algorithm not only detects such functions but also provides the decomposition to facilitate automatic layout and helps in finding a faster circuit and an efficient layout.

Modelling Detection Functions

2015
Distance sampling provides a rigorous framework for estimating detectability, allowing us to correct counts of detected animals in covered areas for those that were missed. The fundamental concept involved in estimating detectability in the distance sampling context is the detection function, which represents the probability of detecting an object of ...

Functionalized Polymers as Receptors for Detection of Cells*

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 2011
Mass sensitive sensors were applied for fast and label-free detection of bio-analytes. Robust and miniaturized sensor devices were fabricated by combining bio-mimetic imprinted surfaces with quartz crystal microbalances for the analysis of yeast and bacteria cells. These sensors allow us to differentiate between different growing stages of yeast cells.

GluNs Detection and Functions in Microglial Cells

2017
Proving endogenous GluN presence and functions in microglia require complementary steps to demonstrate (1) that GluN genes are transcripted and translated, (2) their cellular localization, (3) that the GluN are functional, and (4) the role of the functional GluN.
