Axion detection in the milli-eV mass range
We propose an experimental scheme to search for galactic halo axions with mass $m_a \sim 10^{-3}$eV, which is above the range accessible with cavity techniques.

Abstract Background A routine baseline echocardiogram is often obtained prior to anthracycline administration in children with cancer. The utility of baseline echocardiogram is unclear in patients with standard risk B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (SR B‐ALL) as their anthracycline cumulative dose is low.

ROBUST FEATURES FOR LEG DETECTION IN 2D LASER RANGE DATA [PDF]
People detection in 2D laser range data is widely used in many application, such as robotics, smart cities or regions, and intelligent driving. For most current methods on people detection based on a single laser range finder are actually leg detectors ...

Principal factors that determine the extension of detection range in molecular beacon aptamer/conjugated polyelectrolyte bioassays. [PDF]
A strategy to extend the detection range of weakly-binding targets is reported that takes advantage of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)-based bioassays based on molecular beacon aptamers (MBAs) and cationic conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs).

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Outcomes for pediatric relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remain dismal. CPX‐351, a liposomal formulation of cytarabine and daunorubicin, may have less off‐target toxicities than traditional chemotherapies and has shown improved outcomes for adults with newly diagnosed therapy‐related AML.

Nonlocal Charge Transport Mediated by Spin Diffusion in the Spin-Hall Effect Regime
A nonlocal electric response in the spin-Hall regime, resulting from spin diffusion mediating charge conduction, is predicted. The spin-mediated transport stands out due to its long-range character, and can give dominant contribution to nonlocal ...

Direct detection of the inflationary gravitational-wave background [PDF]
Inflation generically predicts a stochastic background of gravitational waves over a broad range of frequencies, from those accessible with cosmic microwave background (CMB) measurements, to those accessible directly with gravitational-wave detectors ...

ABSTRACT Background Osteonecrosis (ON) is a debilitating complication of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) therapy. While numerous studies have explored its incidence and associated risk factors, investigations using large‐scale cohorts remain important to characterize ON across heterogeneous populations.
