Diversity gain of one-shot communication over molecular timing channels
We study diversity in one-shot communication over molecular timing channels. In the considered channel model the transmitter simultaneously releases a large number of information particles, where the information is encoded in the time of release.

C‐mannosylation is a unique form of protein glycosylation. In this study, we demonstrated that ADAMTS1 is C‐mannosylated at Trp562 and Trp565 in human testicular germ cell tumor NEC8 cells. We found that C‐mannosylation of ADAMTS1 is essential for its secretion, processing, enzymatic activity, and ability to promote vasculogenic mimicry. These findings

Prototype Multisensor Fire Detection Based on Internet of Things (IoT)
Fire is an unpredictable disaster and often has a significant impact on human life, both materially and non-materially. Fires are often only detected when they have grown large, causing unavoidable losses.

The Arabidopsis mutants hls1 hlh1 and amp1 lamp1 exhibit pleiotropic developmental phenotypes. Although the functions of the causative genes remain unclear, they act in the same genetic pathway and are thought to generate non‐cell‐autonomous signals.

The PADME experiment, by using the positron beam of the Frascati laboratory, aims at searching for signals of a dark photon, A′ . It will evaluate the final state missing mass of the process e+ e- → A′ γ by knowing the beam energy and measuring the four-momentum of the ordinary recoil photon.

Measuring Optical Scattering in Relation to Coatings on Crystalline X-Ray Scintillator Screens
Scattered light makes up a significant amount of recorded intensities during tomographic imaging, thereby leading to severe misinterpretation and artifacts in the reconstructed volume images.

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease affecting motor neurons. Individuals with SMA experience mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of an antioxidant and neuroprotective substance, ergothioneine (ERGO), on an SMNΔ7 mouse model of SMA.

Detection of very close targets by fusion CFAR detectors [PDF]
In this paper the new application results of Linear and NonLinear Fusion Constant False Alarm Rate (LF-CFAR and NLF- CFAR) detectors are presented. Detection of very close targets per azimuth and per range is considered.
