Method for detector description transformation to Unity and application in BESIII
Nuclear Science and Techniques, 2022Detector and event visualization are essential parts of the software used in high-energy physics (HEP) experiments. Modern visualization techniques and multimedia production platforms such as Unity provide impressive display effects and professional ...

A Combined Corner and Edge Detector
Alvey Vision Conference, 1988The problem we are addressing in Alvey Project MMI149 is that of using computer vision to understand the unconstrained 3D world, in which the viewed scenes will in general contain too wide a diversity of objects for topdown recognition techniques to work.

The Virgo Experiment is a gravitational wave interferometric detector. It consists in a Michelson interferometer with two 3 km long Fabry‐Perot cavities as orthogonal arms. The installation of the detector has been completed in September 2003 and presently the apparatus is under commissioning.

Two-dimensional detector software: From real detector to idealised image or two-theta scan
, 1996Detector systems introduce distortions into acquired data. To obtain accurate angle and intensity information, it is necessary to calibrate, and apply corrections. Intensity non-linearity, spatial distortion, and non-uniformity of intensity response, are

YOLO5Face: Why Reinventing a Face Detector
ECCV Workshops, 2021Tremendous progress has been made on face detection in recent years using convolutional neural networks. While many face detectors use designs designated for detecting faces, we treat face detection as a generic object detection task. We implement a face

Publisher Summary This chapter describes the important features of a few popular types of detectors. Most of them are based on the ionization produced by radiation, with the resulting currents passing through an electrical circuit and displayed on a meter or similar indicator.

Legri Operations. Detectors and Detector Stability
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2001Two years after launch (04.21.97), LEGRI is operating on Minisat-01 in a LEO orbit. The LEGRI detector plane is formed by two type of gamma-ray solid state detectors: HgI2 and CdZnTe. Detectors are embedded in a box containing the FEE and DFE electronics. This box provides an effective detector passive shielding.

Conversion detectors for superheterodyne sets are classified in two groups, containing two types each. These types are illustrated in Figs. 1(a), 1(b), 2(a), 2(b), 2(c), 2(d), and 2(e). It has been found possible to represent measured static characteristics (current versus applied voltage) of all types of detectors considered accurately by an equation ...

The talks in the Program and the Conference parallel sessions make clear that high quality pixel vertex chambers are presently well developed and with continuing improvements (M. Caccia,1 X. Sun,2 M. Stanitzki,3 J. Qian4); that there are at least two major tracking chambers that are well studied, a TPC and silicon-strip chambers (H.
