Detector capacitance of silicon microstrip detector
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1992Abstract A capacitance property of a silicon microstrip detector was investigated with a solid state device simulator PISCES II-B. Special attention was paid to the electrode configuration and the radiation effect on the capacitance property.

Abstract The Antares Neutrino Telescope is the first operational Neutrino Telescope in the Mediterranean Sea. It has been completed in May 2008 and is meant to perform neutrino astronomy via a large three-dimensional array of photo-multiplier tubes. This note describes the design, the construction and the functioning of the telescope in the deep sea,

Infrared radiation has been studied with detectors of one kind or another since about 1800. The difference between the techniques of the first century-and-a-half and the period since World War II is that the earlier devices were thermal detectors, responding to temperature change caused by integrated absorption of energy, while the more recent devices ...

The front line detectors for almost all astronomers are their own eyes. For many, especially when using smaller telescopes, these are also the only detectors. The eye, or more particularly vision, which is the result of the eye and brain acting in concert, is, however, a very complex phenomenon, and some knowledge of its peculiarities is essential for ...

Physics with the MEMPHYS Detector
2010MEMPHYS is a proposed 0.5 Mton scale water Čerenkov experiment to be performed deep underground. Possible sites are under study in the European FP7 design study LAGUNA. It is dedicated to nucleon decay, neutrinos from supernovæ, solar and atmospheric neutrinos, as well as neutrinos from a future Super-Beam or \beta -Beam.
