Analysis and Suppression of Detent Force in PMLSM
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Detent force has been become the main source of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) shake and noise, is also a primary factor to evaluate the performance of PMLSM. To improve performance and reduce noise of PMLSM, in which the end component of detent force affects mainly on the machine performance, the paper presents its mechanism ...

Optimal design of FRMSM to decrease detent force
Journal of Central South University, 2011An optimal configuration of the flux-reversal linear synchronous motor (FRLSM) with the optimal number of attachment permanent magnets (PMs) was presented. The optimal model of 2 000 N was designed to reduce the detent force by redesigning the air-gap structure and skewing.

Detent force analysis and structure improvement of PMLSM
2011 International Conference on Consumer Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet), 2011Detent force is the main component of thrust ripple which is one of the unique characteristics of permanent magnetic linear synchronous motor (PMLSM). This paper briefly analyzes the causes and features of the detent force, and presents an improved structure of PMLSM on the basis of position shift and phase shift superposition method of multiple motors.

Force-Sensitive Detents Improve User Performance for Linear Selection Tasks
IEEE Transactions on Haptics, 2013Haptic technology, providing force cues and creating a programmable interface, can assist users in more accurately using an interface. This paper investigates haptic assistance in combination with auditory feedback instead of visual feedback. A user test is carried out in which participants select fundamental frequencies from a continuous range to play

Destitution, Detention and Forced Return
2016Asylum-seekers face the constant threat of having their claims for asylum refused, in which case they may have their support ended and become destitute, or may be detained or forced to return to their country of origin. These issues are closely related; for instance, people whose asylum claims have been refused and have been become destitute must agree

Detent force analysis and suppression of electrical shock absorber
2008 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference, 2008Kinetic energy of a vibrating object in vehicles is normally absorbed in a form of thermal energy by mechanical dampers and other facilities. So the energy of the vibration is consumed wastefully. Using electrical shock absorber, energy of the vibration is converted into electrical energy.

Methods of detent force reduction in linear synchronous motors
IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference. IEMDC'99. Proceedings (Cat. No.99EX272), 2003The thrust force characteristic of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor consists of a combination of three independent forces. One of these forces, the detent force, has an adverse effect on the performance of a linear synchronous motor. There are various methods to reduce the detent force. Finite element methods are used to assess the different

Detent force minimization techniques in permanent magnet linear synchronous motors
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2002Detent force produced in permanent magnet linear machines generally causes an undesired vibration and noise. This paper analyzes detent force and thrust in permanent magnet linear synchronous motor by using various detent force minimization techniques.

Detent Force Minimizing for Moving-Magnet-Type Linear Synchronous Motor
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2019This paper aims to reduce detent force (DF) of a moving-magnet-type linear synchronous motor by considering different permanent magnet (PM) widths and chamfer dimensions. DF is the main cause of thrust ripple, which can lead to worse operation performance.
