The influence of sodium-polyacrilic macromolecular chain length to the powder detergents secondary washing performances [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2013
In order to investigate the influence of sodium-polyacrylate polymer as a co-builder in addition to the carbonate/zeolite builders in detergent builder system, secondary washing performances of powder laundry detergent containing equal percentage of ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Detergents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Detergents are frequently used for biochemical analyses of photosynthetic proteins.

Fatty acids: a versatile and sustainable source of raw materials for the surfactants industry

open access: yesOléagineux, Corps gras, Lipides, 2001
Fatty acids have been used as a major source for the hydrophobic part of surfactants since the discovery of soap, more than 4,500 years ago. Despite the wide variety of different hydrophobes that have become available during recent decades, fatty acids ...

On the Detergency of Hand Dishwashing Detergents

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1961
Detergency of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate and coconut fatty acid diethanol amide mixture, the representative components of liquid hand dishwashing detergents, was tested by several formulations; using oily soil and applying three testing methods, dynamic foam test, emulsifying test and practical hand dishwashing test.Test results obtained by these

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Biodegradation of sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) contamination by Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates

open access: yesJournal of Degraded and Mining Lands Management
Sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) is a surfactant commonly used in the formulation of detergents, which is typically disposed of in wastewater treatment plants.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Characterization of the Regenerative Capacity of Membranes in the Presence of Fouling by Microalgae Using Detergents

open access: yesMembranes
The filtration of microalgae generates fouling through algal matter and exopolymer particles with consequences for the flow rate. Therefore, regeneration that is as complete and continuous as possible is necessary. For this purpose, a commercial membrane

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
