Methods to Determine Aerobic Endurance

Sports Medicine, 2002
Physiological testing of elite athletes requires the correct identification and assessment of sports-specific underlying factors. It is now recognised that performance in long-distance events is determined by maximal oxygen uptake (V(2 max)), energy cost of exercise and the maximal fractional utilisation of V(2 max) in any realised performance or as a ...

Determinant Optimization Method

2019
This article is devoted to matrices which play a significant role in digital signal processing, artificial intelligence systems, and mathematical natural sciences in the whole. The study of the world of matrices is going on intensively all over the world and constantly brings useful and unexpected results.

Methods of Determination

2011
The methods used for determination of plasma proteins and hematological parameters are described here only in principle; the listed references allow the reader to obtain further and more detailed information. The recommended reference intervals apply only to the methods described in the respective references.

Spectrofluorometric Method for NO Determination

Analytical Biochemistry, 1994
A spectroscopic method for the quantitative determination of NO in aqueous solution is presented. The method is based on the uv absorbance of nitrosothiols, coupled with the inner filter effect. A threshold of 5.10(-7) M with a wide dynamic range of 5.10(-7)-10(-4) M are obtained. This method enables measurements in brain homogenates. Ultimately, since

Overlap Determinant Method

1995
The basis of this method is a simple idea that chemical reaction is nothing but a specific transformation converting the reactant, characterized by the set of bonds µR into the product characterized by the set of bonds µP In classifying the character of the reaction, the key role is played by the mutual relation of corresponding sets.

Biological Method for Ethanol Determination

Acta Biotechnologica, 1986
AbstractIt has been demonstrated that on an alkaline medium starving yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae 14 oxidizes ethanol to acetate at a very high rate, consuming oxygen in stoichiometric ratios. This phenomenon can well be used for ethanol determination. This method is advantageous for its simplicity, cheapness and responsiveness.

Methods for Quantitative Creatinine Determination

Current Protocols in Human Genetics, 2017
AbstractReliable measurement of creatinine is necessary to assess kidney function, and also to quantitate drug levels and diagnostic compounds in urine samples. The most commonly used methods are based on the Jaffe principal of alkaline creatinine‐picric acid complex color formation.

Support Determination Methods

1973
Abstract : The BurMines acting as agent for the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), managed a program in Rock Mechanics and Rapid Excavation. The portion of the program assigned to the Spokane Mining Research Center (SMRC) concerned analytical and empirical techniques for ground support with emphasis upon: case history studies, instrumentation ...

Methods for Determining Glycosyltransferase Kinetics

2017
Glycosyltransferases are a class of biosynthetic enzymes that transfer individual activated monosaccharide units to specific acceptors. Colorimetric assays using the detection of released products such as para-nitrophenol and coupled assays for inorganic phosphate detection allow for convenient and quantifiable kinetic characterization.

Maximum Determinant Method

1980
Inequalities (Harker and Kasper, 1948) and nonnegative determinants (Karle and Hauptman, 1950) are historically the first “direct methods” for phase determination from the moduli and the a priori known information on the electron-density function ϱ(r).
