Dataset of producing and curing concrete using domestic treated wastewater

open access: yesData in Brief, 2016
We tested the setting time of cement, slump and compressive and tensile strength of 54 triplicate cubic samples and 9 cylindrical samples of concrete with and without a Super plasticizer admixture.

Predicting the strength of concrete made with stone dust and nylon fiber using artificial neural network

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Excessive demand of concrete is causing depletion of natural sand resources. Especially, the extraction of river sand negatively affects its surrounding environment.

Determination of critical stress in high strength concrete

open access: yesProcedia Structural Integrity, 2017
Abstract: In this work, more specimens were tested at equal conditions (static compression test) and, during the tests, the released heat for irreversible phenomena was monitored by means of the analysis of the temperature surface of the specimen. In this way, it was possible to estimate the average value of the macroscopic stress (“critical stress”)

Development of a new test for determination of tensile strength of concrete blocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An accurate experimental, numerical and analytical analysis of masonry structures is only possible if detailed information on the mechanical properties of masonry materials is known. In general, tensile strength of fragile brittle materials is a property

Failure-mode-hierarchy-based design for reinforced concrete structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Innovations in concrete construction can be held back by the inability of codes of practice to accommodate new materials. The current design and safety philosophy (DSP) of reinforced concrete relies heavily on the properties of steel reinforcement.

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Behaviour of reinforced concrete beam with silica fume under dynamic loading / Rudy Tawie Joseph Sipi [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Concrete mixes design to produce 42 N/mm² - 84 M/mm² in compressive strength are easily obtainable today with silica fume replacing a portion of the cement content.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Using the Maturity Method in Predicting the Compressive Strength of Vinyl Ester Polymer Concrete at an Early Age

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2017
The compressive strength of vinyl ester polymer concrete is predicted using the maturity method. The compressive strength rapidly increased until the curing age of 24 hrs and thereafter slowly increased until the curing age of 72 hrs.
