Multicasting algorithms for deterministic networks

open access: yesIEEE Information Theory Workshop 2010 (ITW 2010), 2010
We present a polynomial time algorithm for multicasting rate h to N receivers over deterministic networks. Our algorithm requires intermediate network nodes to perform coding operations over vectors of a finite length L, through multiplication with L × L binary coding matrices that play the same role as coding coefficients over graphs.

Deterministic relay networks with state information [PDF]

open access: yes2009 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2009
Motivated by fading channels and erasure channels, the problem of reliable communication over deterministic relay networks is studied, in which relay nodes receive a function of the incoming signals and a random network state. An achievable rate is characterized for the case in which destination nodes have full knowledge of the state information.

Domain Wall Rebounds Driven by Competing Entropic and Spin‐Transfer Torques in Cylindrical Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Domain‐wall motion in cylindrical magnetic nanowires driven by nanosecond current pulses. Low current densities efficiently displace domain walls, whereas higher currents cause rebound at the wire ends. The effect results from the interplay between spin‐transfer torque and thermally induced processes, highlighting the role of thermal gradients in ...

Survey of the deterministic network

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2019
The current Internet faces a huge increase in video traffic and industrial machine applications, causing a lot of congestion and packet delays.Besides, many network applications, such as industrial Internet, telemedicine, driverless,VR games, etc, require a ...

Information thermodynamics for deterministic chemical reaction networks

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2022
Information thermodynamics relates the rate of change of mutual information between two interacting subsystems to their thermodynamics when the joined system is described by a bipartite stochastic dynamics satisfying local detailed balance. Here, we expand the scope of information thermodynamics to deterministic bipartite chemical reaction networks ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Meniscus Pixel Printing for Contact‐Lens Vision Sensing and Robotic Control

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A visual‐sensing contact lens is enabled by meniscus pixel printing (MPP), which rapidly patterns a 200 µm perovskite photodetector pixel in 1 s without masks, vacuum processing, or bulky equipment. A deep‐learning‐based super‐resolution reconstructs sparse on‐lens signals into 80 × 80 high‐resolution visual information, while AI‐driven eye‐tracking ...

Controllability of deterministic networks with the identical degree sequence. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Controlling complex network is an essential problem in network science and engineering. Recent advances indicate that the controllability of complex network is dependent on the network's topology.

Coordination of network reconfiguration and mobile energy storage system fleets to facilitate active distribution network restoration under forecast uncertainty

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2023
The active distribution network (ADN) shows great potential for use in network restoration services, given its ability to actively control the network topology, distributed generation (DG) outputs, and demand response (DR) resources. However, its utility
