Deterministic Scheduling with Pipelined Processors

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1980
In this paper several results are proven showing a correspondence between problems involving task systems with single-stage processors and similar ones using pipelined processors. For example, an optimal schedule for a task system with arbitrary precedence constraints using a single pipelined processor with two stages is found by the familiar Coffman ...

DetSF: A deterministic scheduling framework

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology, 2011
Deterministic scheduling is widely used in bug detection, record & replay and deterministic execution systems which all aim to improve the reliability of multithreaded programs. This paper designs and implements a deterministic scheduling framework (DetSF) to support fast development of various deterministic scheduling systems.

Deterministically Scheduled PON for Industrial Applications

Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2023, 2023
We propose a deterministic scheduling scheme for TDM-PON upstream bursts to achieve low latency and jitter with high throughput efficiency. We demonstrate co-scheduling of TDM-PON with an Ethernet Time Sensitive Network to serve industrial applications.

Deterministic Scheduling Approaches

2012
In this chapter, we describe deterministic scheduling approaches for equipment (i.e., single machines), work centers, and full wafer fab situations. We start with simulation-based scheduling approaches that are somewhere between dispatching and scheduling. Then, we continue by presenting scheduling approaches for single machines. We especially focus on
