Timing Mechanotransduction: Mechanically Dynamic Biomaterials Reveal the Temporal Hierarchy of YAP/TAZ Control Nodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops dynamically softening polyacrylamide hydrogels for time‐resolved imaging during continuous mechanical transitions. The study revealed that mechanotransduction is biphasic; YAP/TAZ inactivation is driven by early loss of the nucleocytoskeletal continuum connecting subnuclear adhesions, F‐actin, and the nuclear envelope, coupled with ...

Detonation parameters: a basis for the design of microstructured process equipment

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis, 2012
Test apparatuses are described which allow to characterize detonations of flammable substance/oxidizer mixtures by the detonation limits, the limiting starting pressure, the detonation velocity, the detonation pressure and the width of the detonation ...

Ejecta‐Modulated Bubble Dynamics Play a Dominant Role in Stone Retropulsion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stone motion during laser ablation is shown to result primarily from asymmetric cavitation bubble collapse, not from ejecta recoil. This challenges long‐standing assumptions and highlights the dominant role of bubble dynamics in laser–material interactions.

Criterial analysis of the process of quenching combustion and detonation waves of unitary fuel in pipelines based on the approaches of multiphase mechanics

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Естественнонаучная серия
The quenching of the combustion and detonation processes of unitary fuel in pipelines due to the adiabatic expansion of the flow during transition to a section of an increased pipe diameter is considered.

Unveil Fundamental Graph Properties for Neural Architecture Search

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper proposes NASGraph, a graph‐based framework that represents neural architectures as graphs whose structural properties determine performance. By revealing structure–performance relationships, NASGraph enables efficient neural architecture search with significantly reduced computation.

A CFD Model for the Evaporation of Sub-Micron Droplet Sprays Across Normal Shocks

open access: yesThermo
The rapid evaporation of liquid droplets across a normal shock wave is a phenomenon of critical importance in advanced propulsion and clean energy systems, such as NH3 supersonic separation. The conventional Spalding d2-law is commonly used to model such

Machine Learning for Green Solvents: Assessment, Selection and Substitution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Environmental regulations have intensified demand for green solvents, but discovery is limited by Solvent Selection Guides (SSGs) that quantify solvent sustainability. Training a machine learning model on GlaxoSmithKline SSG, a database of sustainability metrics for 10,189 solvents, GreenSolventDB is developed. Integrated with Hansen solubility metrics,
