Heteroatom‐Engineering Promoted Co9S8 Bi‐functional Electrocatalyst for Hydrazine‐Assisted Hydrogen Production at Industrial Current Density

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe and P co‐doped Co9S8 nanocorals (Fe, P‐Co9S8) are successfully synthesized by a heteroatom engineering strategy, which exhibit outstanding bifunctional electrocatalytic performance for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and hydrazine oxidation reaction (HzOR).

Quantitative irregularity analysis for spinning detonation of premixed CH4+2O2

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
CH4 is a typical and special detonation mixture. Based on the experimental method, digital image processing was performed to study the detonation stability theory of methane. A premixed CH4 + 2O2 mixture was ignited in a tube with an inner diameter of 50.

Three‐Dimensional Hierarchical Nanowire‐Networks with Deep‐Focus Tolerance and Adhesion Robustness for Harsh‐Environment SERS Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Elastic-plastic coupled α→ω phase transformation of zirconium under shock loading: experiments and non-hydrostatic thermodynamic-based modeling

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Modeling the martensitic transformation of solid materials under shock loading is still an unsolved problem. One of the key challenges is the effect of shear stress and elastoplastic coupling on the dynamic response.

Detonative Propagation and Accelerative Expansion of the Crab Nebula Shock Front

open access: yes, 2011
The accelerative expansion of the Crab nebula's outer envelope is a mystery in dynamics as a conventional expanding blast wave decelerates when bumping into the surrounding interstellar medium.

MAGTWIST: A Magnetically‐Driven Rotary Actuator Using a Traveling‐Wave With Integrated Stiffness Tunability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.

Nanolayer‐Encapsulated Stretchable Liquid‐Metal Sheets for Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A stretchable liquid metal sheet with both high thermal conductivity and mechanical flexibility is developed. Its trilayer structure, comprising copper‐particle‐dispersed gallium liquid metal encapsulated by styrene‐butadiene‐styrene nanosheets, shows 40.4 W m−1 K−1 conductivity, elongation exceeding 200%, and retention of 96% of its initial ...
