Numerical Structure Analysis of Regular Hydrogen-Oxygen Detonations [PDF]
Large-scale numerical simulations have been carried out to analyze the internal wave structure of a regular oscillating low-pressure H2 : O2 : Ar-Chapman-Jouguet detonation in two and three space-dimensions.

The problem of imploding detonation waves propagating through a gas with initial density, is studied. It is shown that the consideration of varying initial density affects the problem considerably incomparison to a uniform gas at rest. An analytical expression for the pressure distribution in the neighbourhood of the centre of symmetry has been found.

Detonative Propagation and Accelerative Expansion of the Crab Nebula Shock Front
The accelerative expansion of the Crab nebula's outer envelope is a mystery in dynamics as a conventional expanding blast wave decelerates when bumping into the surrounding interstellar medium.

A flexible and lightweight acoustic metamaterial composed of air cavities encased in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is introduced to enhance ultrasound power transfer. The metamaterial leverages the strong reflectivity of air cavity boundaries to concentrate incoming ultrasound, thereby improving the performance of piezoelectric energy harvesters ...

Superionic Amorphous Li2ZrCl6 and Li2HfCl6
Amorphous Li2HfCl6 and L2ZrCl6 are shown to be promising solid‐state electrolytes with predicted ionic conductivities >20 mS·cm−1. Molecular dynamics simulations with machine‐learning force fields reveal that anion vibrations and flexible MCl6 octahedra soften the Li coordination cage and enhance mobility. Correlation between Li‐ion diffusivity and the

Development of detonation reaction engine [PDF]
Reaction engine operates on the principle of a controlled condensed detonation. In this engine the gas products that are expelled from the engine to produce thrust are generated by the condensed detonation reaction. The engine is constructed of two basic

Humid‐Air Condensation Heat Transfer on Hierarchical Structured Superhydrophobic Graphite Composites
Humid‐air condensation on graphite composites shows that making a surface superhydrophobic is not sufficient to enhance heat transfer. A hierarchical CuO/lauric‐acid coating yields spherical droplets but promotes Wenzel‐type pinning and adds effective thermal resistance under operation.
