We compared genetic diversity and spatial genetic structure in the snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina; left panel), Blanding's turtle (Emydoidea blandingii; bottom right), and spotted turtle (Clemmys guttata; top right) sampled in areas of co‐occurrence across ~49,160 km2.

Abstract Aims To identify the brain activity profiles associated with alcohol consumption and to address its causes. Furthermore, we sought to examine the relationship between these electrophysiological markers and the excitation–inhibition balance, as well as to explore the potential moderating role of sex in these associations.

Detrended fluctuation analysis of traffic data
Different routing strategies may result in different behaviors of traffic on internet. We analyze the correlation of traffic data for three typical routing strategies by the detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) and find that the degree of correlation of the data can be divided into three regions, i.e., weak, medium, and strong correlation.

Abstract This study examines the adaptive market hypothesis in the prewar and wartime Japanese stock market using a new market capitalization‐weighted price index. First, we find that the degree of market efficiency varies over time and with major historical events. This implies that the hypothesis is supported in this market.

Three shades of self‐regulation with unique complex dynamics, drivers and targets for intervention
Abstract Self‐regulated learning (SRL) is an active process involving multiple interacting components that evolve over time, exhibiting characteristics of complex systems such as non‐linearity, emergent behaviour, self‐organization, and hierarchy. These interactions unfold at different temporal levels, each warranting a dedicated lens to capture their ...

Microstructure identification via detrended fluctuation analysis of ultrasound signals
We describe an algorithm for simulating ultrasound propagation in random one-dimensional media, mimicking different microstructures by choosing physical properties such as domain sizes and mass densities from probability distributions.
