Dynamics in a coupled-cavity array

open access: yes, 2008
The dynamics of a system composed of two coupled optical cavities, each containing a single two-level atom, is studied over a wide range of detuning and coupling values.

Controlled transition between parametric and Raman oscillations in ultrahigh-Q silica toroidal microcavities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A controllable and reversible transition between parametric and Raman oscillations in an ultrahigh-Q silica toroidal microcavity is experimentally demonstrated and theoretically analyzed.

Metamaterial Antennas Enhance MRI of the Eye and Occipital Brain

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A radiofrequency antenna platform comprising planar and bend configurations is developed, incorporating structurally integrated epsilon‐negative metamaterial unit cells to enhance MRI. These antennas enable high‐resolution in vivo human MRI of the eye, orbit, and occipital brain. Comprehensive validation, including simulations, phantom experiments, SAR,

Beam-beam amplitude detuning with forced oscillations

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2017
Recently, relations were established between the coefficients of free and forced amplitude detuning polynomial expansions. The forced oscillations were considered only in a single plane.

Photo‐Reconfigurable Supercoupling Induced Transparency in On‐Chip Topological Edge State Cavities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel supercoupling induced transparency (SIT) is demonstrated in a valley‐Hall photonic crystal. The valley vortices enable the supercoupling between a leaky and a guided topological edge state cavity even across a distance of 4.3 wavelengths, inducing a transparency window with negligible reflection.

Output entanglement and squeezing of two-mode fields generated by a single atom

open access: yes, 2009
A single four-level atom interacting with two-mode cavities is investigated. Under large detuning condition, we obtain the effective Hamiltonian which is unitary squeezing operator of two-mode fields.

Wireless Power Transfer Modalities for Implantable Bioelectronics: Electromagnetic, Acoustic, and Magneto‐Dynamic Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review traces the evolution of wireless power transfer (WPT) for implantable medical devices, spanning electromagnetic, magnetoelectric, acoustic, and magneto‐dynamic systems. Quantitative comparisons of power, distance, and device scale highlight trade‐offs across modalities, while emerging hybrid mechanisms reveal strategies to overcome ...

Scheme for generating entangled states of two field modes in a cavity

open access: yes, 2005
This paper considers a two-level atom interacting with two cavity modes with equal frequencies. Applying a unitary transformation, the system reduces to the analytically solvable Jaynes-Cummings model.

Improved Disorder Resilience in Small‐Footprint Photonic Cavities with Periodicity Breaking

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Compact photonic crystal cavities with engineered aperiodicity are demonstrated to sustain high quality factormodes and enhanced reproducibility within a minimal footprint. Combining numerical optimization and near‐field measurements, the study reveals how controlled periodicity breaking improves disorder resilience, offering a robust and scalable ...
